As May begins it heralds the start of Artweeks 2023 and it’s put me into reflective mood about the last time I exhibited 2019.
2019 was when I last exhibited in Artweeks.
Artweeks 2019 I was at West Ox Arts, Bampton & Cool Contours, Chipping Warden. See listing below for info.
Along with me and 14 other artists and makers @ Cool Contours was James Stead, pictured here with me, who was one of the finalists in the 2023 Pottery Throw Down.
In 2018 I completed Sukhita Yoga teacher training. My focus moved from art to yoga, teaching & building up classes when Covid hit. Teaching yoga online became my only option in lockdown, repurposing one end of my studio to teach from. Clearing out and moving as much as I could into my Art part of studio. It’s stayed that way as we moved out of lockdown.
In October 2020, during lockdown, I was diagnosed with Lung Cancer which was somewhat of a shock being someone who was pretty fit practicing yoga almost daily and not being a smoker. The mutation I have is EGFR+ which mainly affects women, but like breast cancer men are also diagnosed with it.
