Christmas gift weekend

Banbury’s Parkside Arts has invited eight other artists to join them at Cotefield Nurseries for a weekend of real art and real craft. There will be lots of unique and original Christmas gift pieces to tempt you in the spacious shop and café area of Banbury’s most knowledgeable garden nursery.

With a mix of contemporary and traditional pieces, you’ll see a good selection of some of the best art and craft in Oxfordshire. On display will be silver jewellery from Crooked Smith, which comprises of designers Tamsin Smith & Elly Crook. Bead jewellery by Sara Withers, paintings by Christine O’Sullivan and Janella Horne, photography by Steve Gold, drawings & printmaking from Nicola Durrant, ceramic animal sculptures by Martin Cooper, hand thrown stoneware from Jane Sears with textiles by Jane Russ.
Plus Costa Children’s award winning author Linda Newbery will be on hand with her books and illustrations from them.
All the artists and craftsmen are local to Banbury and will be present to answer any questions you have about their work.

Come and get inspired for your Christmas presents; the event coincides with the arrival of the Cotefield christmas trees, so the evocative scent should get you in the mood for thinking presents!

I have had two works, Colourcode Square & Garden Sate of MInd ,selected for the Art2 open exhibition @ Banbury Museum which opens tomorrow 17 September till 26 November.
Opening preview is on 21 September 5.30 - 7pm
Greeting cards of the paintings are now on sale in then Banbury Tourist Information Shop, Castle Quay, Banbury.
